Nice new functions in SearchMyMeetings

During the past two months, we have rolled quite some very nice functions:
  • Collaboration: now on SearchMyMeetings, you can share a recording with any of your contact email. Your contact can have the same benefit of searching in the shared recordings.
  • Upload: we have opened up the upload function in SearchMyMeetings to any registered users. Now, you can search your audio that was recorded outside of SearchMyMeetings environment.
  • "Automatic Media Uploader"(beta): having too many media files, or keep generating new audio files on your machine? Try this small app. It can constantly upload new media files to SearchMyMeetings from your selected folder. The benefit? you can actually utilize those information that was locked in those audio files. As they say, information does not exist, until you can use them.

More useful infos in our upcoming "User tips" section.

Why conference call recording functions are rarely used?

That's a very good question to ask indeed. Nearly every conference call service offers recording function. However, during my years working at companies big and small, I rarely see anyone using the recording function? Why? Well, here at SearchMyMeetings.com, we think it's because those recordings does not exist, unless you can use it.

Think about it. Would 5 hours of recordings be anything useful if you cannot search it? Even with fast forward, I couldn't imagine anyone to listen through them.

Well, this is one of the fundamental rule about information. They don't exist, unless you can find them. SearchMyMeetings.com aims directly at this problem.
